Volunteer Requirements

Any parent, grandparent, or adult wanting to volunteer in a classroom, be a room parent, chair a school committee, chaperone a field trip, coach a sport, assist with student extracurricular activities, or work with children 18 and under within the Archdiocese of Louisville, you must have:

1.     A current background check performed by St. Albert OR any of our local parishes by "Selection.com", which is good for five (5) years. To start this step, please send a $15 check payable to “St. Albert” to Larry Brunner in the parish office and include your full name and email address; 

AND

2.     Attend the "Honor Thy Child" Safe Environment Training, which is also good for (5) five years. Honor Thy Child Classes are available at a variety of schools throughout the year. There is no need to register for the class.  Just arrive prior to the start time. Late arrivals will not be allowed entry. For a schedule of available sessions and additional information click

Each session lasts about 2 hours. We recommend parents and involved Grandparents attend.

 

IMPORTANT:  No one under the age of 16 will be admitted to the training, this includes infants.

The five year "refresher" course is available online to those that have attended an in person class in the past
