About St. Albert

St. Albert the Great Parish School has been serving the Louisville community for more than 60 years. We provide a quality education in a safe and caring environment that is centered around Catholic values. By infusing faith formation and blended learning into all aspects of our curriculum, we prepare our students to be good citizens and to excel academically.

St. Albert the Great Parish School, a 2X nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, draws preschool through eighth grade students from twenty-three different zip codes; and yet, we maintain our close-knit community by fostering close relationships with our students and families.

With 715 students, we are a vibrant and growing Catholic school that reflects a family-like culture where everyone plays a vital role and has a sense of community.

Dear Parents

As Principal of St. Albert the Great, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school! Our environment is both nurturing and supportive, and continues to grow through the contributions of all of our members. As you walk through the school door, you find yourself surrounded by a feeling of friendliness, dedication, cooperation, and most importantly, a sense of family.

As a school of excellence, St. Albert seeks to enroll well-rounded students who are eager to learn and grow in their faith relationship with the Lord. And as a community of Christ, we accept applications from families of all backgrounds. While students are held to higher standards, a dedicated, experienced staff works to meet the needs of every child and the expectations of every parent. Our teachers continually participate in professional development covering the best educational practices. The latest technology enhances our teachers’ ability to shape the 21st century learners. All learners are unique individuals who learn and grow at their own pace. Students encounter a broad variety of learning experiences that blends the traditional and the innovative. Using our MAP testing results as a guide, we offer at every grade level, reinforcement of essential concepts, providing additional support beyond the classroom setting.

In addition to a strong educational foundation, St. Albert offers many opportunities for student enrichment through clubs, sports, and extracurricular activities.

A preschool is available to our youngest students starting at age 3. The Extended Day Program provides childcare for working parents.

Faculty and staff at St. Albert constantly strives for the advancement, safety, and well-being of each and every child. They choose to be teachers in a Catholic school because they consider their profession to be a mission and not just a job.
